This is the first picture of Jaguar's new F-type coupe, which will be revealed in full at the Los Angeles motor show. Seen testing in the UK earlier in 2013, the new Porsche 911 rival will be powered by the same range of supercharged engines as the lairy soft-top. Apart from the (likely optional) glass roof and worryingly narrow boot aperture, the F-type coupe looks all but identical to the pretty C-X16 concept that first previewed the F-type back in 2011.
There's never been a forced induction-endowed production Caterham Seven until now, but supercharging is announcing its arrival in the lightweight special in a big way: the new Superlight R600 is the fastest Seven racing car the company has ever built. Competing in the Superlight R600 Championship from 2013, the racer is the most extreme machine yet from Caterham to take to the circuit, but CAR hears there'll be a road legal version along soon for hardcore track day fans. The Land Rover Discovery Sport shows it 7-seat layout
We already know that the Land Rover Discovery Sport will be replacing the Freelander in Land Rover’s range next year as the first in a family of Discovery models from Land Rover. It seemed likely that the new Discovery Sport would come with five seats as standard but with as even seat option to add another dimension, but Land Rover has decided it is going to offer 7 seats as standard, setting it apart from the competition in the ‘Premium’ sector. Land Rover are busy running prototypes of the new Discovery Sport, and to ram home the point that the new Discovery Sport is more flexible than its competition they’ve covered it in camouflage that looks like the skin of the car has been peeled back to show the 7-seat (well, 5+2) arrangement inside.
